How I become a victim of photo piracy at first time.

Posted by Alex Voinich

Several different kinds of birds created nest holes in saguaro cactus.

After I took the shot, at first look it was seems interesting . But finally I decided it doesn’t worth much and almost forgot about.
Obviously, before i forgot, I did show it to someone, because after a few month i’ve got an email from a friend of mine:

“Hey, Alex, look at that…haha… this is Arizona? There is really so huge funny cactuses arround?”

The picture was attached to his email. Imagine how I was surprised to find my own photo of saguaro cactus in this picture?

When I asked where he’s got this picture from, my friend replay it was on one of the website published funny content, he was serving the internet and didn’t paid attention to URL of the website…

Later on I’ve seen this picture on many different website all around the internet.

I have never got any credential requests, of course.

Well, It was my first experience to be a victim of photo piracy.

Bellow is another pictures also stolen and published on many websites without given credentials permission.

This sadly accident happened on North Scottsdale Rd. just next to the LOOP 101 in Phoenix, AZ (Scottsdale, to be exact)
